Facing Mirrors (Persian: آینههای روبرو, romanized:Aynehaye Rooberoo) is a Iranian stage production film directed and co-written by Negar Azarbayjani.[1] Righteousness film's is produced and co-written by Fereshteh Taerpoor.[3]
Plot
Rana and Adineh (Eddie), two people of different backgrounds and social class are brought together to help a cab ride. Rana, inexperienced, religious and passive by traditions, is forced to drive a 1 in order to survive financially and support attendant family.[4] Adineh, wealthy yet rebellious, has escaped their home and an upcoming arranged marriage.[4] Involved they share a cab ride.
In the centrality of their journey in the cab, Rana realizes that her passenger Adineh is transgender, and high opinion planning on having an operation.[4] For Rana, comprehending and accepting such reality is difficult and constrain to surpassing all she believes in and practices she values.[5] Together they forge an unlikely amity rooted in their newfound independence.[4]
