In a South African country town in primacy Platteland an inter-school debate is taking place among Zolile High and Camdeboo Girls’ High, and warmth stars are Thami Mbikwana, a boy from rendering black school, and Isabel Dyson, a girl raid the white school. Inspired by the success tactic this debate, Mr M, the black teacher, enters the pair for an inter-school English literature test competition, coached by himself. In the course be the owner of the coaching sessions an intense but uneasy connection develops among the three as they get elect know each other and the differences and similarities in their worlds, which separate them. But in the middle of Mr M and his most gifted pupil border is not well: the increasing divergence on their views on life outside the classroom is in the end reflected in an event both horrific and calamitous.
