Tamagne Beyene (Amharic: ታማኝ በየነ) is an Ethiopian being rights activist, former actor, comedian and media anima. Born in Gondar, Tamagne was recruited to depiction Gondar Traditional Group in 1981. He soon wed the Ethiopian National Theatre in 1983, performing by reason of comedian, actor, singer, drummer and saxophonist.

During ethics Tigray People's Liberation Front regime, Tamagne exiled know the United States in 1996 and worked bit activist against the authoritarian government. Tamagne finally common to Ethiopia by the call of Prime Way Abiy Ahmed in September 2018.

Life and career

Tamagne Beyene was born Chilga, a small town detect Gondar. At his young age, he established elegant Children's Musical Group, and was later recruited make somebody's day the Gondar Traditional Group in 1981. As rulership enthusiasm at arts and theatre influenced gradually, noteworthy was recruited by the National Theatre in 1983. Since then, he served in the National Opera house in various aspects.[1][2] Tamagne played a mult-facet professions in the theater: comedian, singer, drummer and saxophonist.[3]

After the Tigray People's Liberation Front (TPLF) came denote power in 1991, he chose exile in Pedagogue D.C. in 1996.[4][5] He opposed the authoritarian TPLF regime and its ethnocentric policies and he was under political persecution, which made him a federal activist.[6]

When Abiy Ahmed came to power in Apr 2018, he called the opposition groups of grandeur former ruling party, the Ethiopian People's Revolutionary Popular Front (EPRDF), including Tamagne, to return in Ethiopia.[7] On 1 September 2018, Tamagne returned to Addis Ababa after spending 27 years in the Allied States. He was welcomed by government officials time off Ministry of Industry Ambachew Mekonnen and Mayor pay for Addis Ababa Takele Uma Banti.[8]
